How to Increase Laptop Volume ?

How to Increase Laptop Volume The Sound in My laptop is too Low. This really creates a problem for me, as I can’t Listen to my latest Mp3 songs Increasing the MP3 player's volume hasn't really helped. This is a very common issue with mp3 files; some sound too low, some are too loud. Here are some ways to increase the sound output of an mp3 file i.e to make them louder.

Using a Software - MP3Gain

MP3Gain is a free software to adjust the sound of mp3 files. We'll use it to increase the volume of low sounding mp3 files.

  1. Download and Install MP3Gain. [ Click Here to Download ]
  2. Start the Application.
  3. Use the 'Add Files' Button to add the mp3 files for which you wish to up the volume.
  4. Set the volume you want to apply in the 'Target Volume' Box.
  5. Click 'Track Analysis'. This displays the current volume of the file.
  6. Hit 'Track Gain' button to change the volume of the mp3 file to what is specified in step 4.

Using a Web Site - Vloud

If you are looking for an easier way to increase the volume, head over to Vloud. It's free and there is not need to install anything. Vloud has just four options - light, loud, louder, loudest. Select the one your prefer and upload the file. The file can be downloaded after the changes are applied. Apart from mp3, Vloud also supports wav files. One caveat though; only files upto 10 MB can be uploaded. Enjoy!

Check the Temperature inside your PC or Laptop - Monitor CPU Heat

thermometer achohol mercury One of the best ways to monitor is to install temperature reading software that might help you actually know if the problem is causing by overheating. Core Temp is a tiny application which is low on resources and is surprisingly accurate. Intel and AMD’s new technology known as DTS(Digital Temperature Signal) let these applications help monitor the temperature accurately.

main window

It is a tiny but extremely powerful and accurate program which tells you the temperature of each core simultaneously and can be easily installed on both Windows Vista and Windows XP.

The best thing about this tool is that it displays the temperature of each core in the tray bar which doesn’t require you to click anywhere in the application itself to look at the current temperature. temp

You can find out more at AMD’s or Intel’s website about the optimal temperatures of the processors installed on your computer so that you can compare them with your own individual core temperatures easily and if you use over-clocked cpu then this utility should be a top priority!

main windowAnother great quality of this application is that it has low footprints on the resources and you can keep it running even if you are doing cpu intensive work.

Upgrading system’s memory is very easy and is also very cost-effective. But due to compatibility concerns, warranty issues, lack of good knowledge many computer owners move back in doing it. Computer memory upgrade only seems complicated but is not. Not many realize that if they put in a little more efforts in knowing their computer and spending some quality time understanding it, their computers will really work faster and better.

How to Connect two PC's/Laptops?

A friend of mine at college was asking me How to connect two computers in Windows XP? .So I thought of writing this post. Here are the steps to connect two computers in Windows XP. This will let you share files and folders, printers, play network games, etc...
See The Picture Below where I have connected My friend's Laptop with Mine.

Steps

  1. Connect the two computers together either with a Crossover cable or a Hub/Switch to the ethernet card in your computer.
  2. Set the IP address on both computers. Goto Start > Control Panel > Network Connections (choose switch to classic view if you cannot see network connections)
  3. Look for your Local Area Connection ethernet adapter, right-click and choose properties.
  4. Select Internet Protocol TCP/IP and choose properties.
  5. Setup the IP as 192.168.1.1 and the subnet mask of 255.255.255. 0 on the first computer and 192.168.1.2 on the second with the same subnet mask.
  6. Choose OK then OK/close again.

Tips :
  • To share your files, right click on any folder and choose Sharing to make them shared.
  • You can also do this with your printers to be able to print from one computer while the printer is connected to the other.

Things You'll Need

  1. A Crossover cable. This a Cat5 Ethernet Cable that the wires have been switched around to allow two computer only to talk to each other or you can purchase a switch/hub with two Standard "Straight-Through" Ethernet Cables.
  2. Check to see if your computer has an Ethernet Adapter in the back of the computer. Most new computers have this. You can tell by the documentation from the computer or by looking at the back of the computer. It looks like a phone jack, but larger.

My PC/Laptop/Computer Hangs / Freezes Up - What to Do ?

Shouting at a Computer laptop pc10 things you should do when your Pc/Laptop/Computer Freezes or Hangs Up .
You are in the middle of doing your work, suddenly you realized your computer hanged up. But the problem is, you have not saved your work! Don’t panic! There is a solution for that! And you can surely save your file! Here’s how:

1. Click on “ctrl-alt-delete” keys
. The windows task manager will then open, click on all programs that you don’t need and end the task. You will see that all programs on your taskbar will close one by one. If this will resolve the issue! – then save! (tip# 1: if you’re working on an MS Office application, it will automatically save your file in case the programs suddenly shut down — tip# 2: always save your file at least every 2 minutes by just simply clicking on the “diskette icon”— its just one click!)

2. If it did not resolve the issue, are there some users logged on that computer? If so, go to switch user (for XP) and log off that user, go back to your log on screen and log on again.

The reason the computer hang up is because if there are many open programs and applications, these retains in the memory, if it is too much for the memory to handle, it freezes! Another reason too the computer hang up is because if you are connected to the internet via dial up, and you are running too many applications and opening many websites. So I suggest, if you are multimedia user or a heavy internet user, then you are better off with a higher memory, at least 512Mb of memory.

There are simple ways to avoid computer to freeze or hang up:

3. Clean your history at least once a week
>tools>internet options>clear history. I normally set my history to “0”, meaning, when I restart my computer, it doesn’t save history pages that I have visited

4. Delete all internet temporary files >tools>internet options>delete files (do the “offline” content too!)

5. Delete cookies (some do not do this, but I do delete cookies at least once a week!) >tools>internet options>delete cookies

6. Remove unnecessary programs
that you no longer use, they are just occupying space and memory! >control panel>add/remove programs

7. Do defragmentation at least once a week >point the mouse to “start” button, then right click “explore”>right click the mouse pointing to drive C (which is usually the main system logical drive) >properties>tools>defragment now

8. You can also check the logical drive’s volume for errors >point the mouse to “start” button, then right click “explore”>right click the mouse pointing to drive C (I repeat, is usually the main system logical drive) >properties>tools>check now

9. It is better to have only one user being logged on
. Even if there are many users, make sure the user logs off after using the computer, rather than keeping it logged on and you do the switching of users. Switching users is good as long as you don’t keep all users logged on—I think that is more logical

10. Always shut down properly
the computer (do NOT use the power button when turning it off!

Hack to Activate Microsoft Office 2007

Disclaimer: This article is for educational and informational purpose only.

To use this hack to crack activation on Office 2007, you need to install Office 2007 without any serial number or product key. If you have installed Office 2007 with a product key or serial number, do the following to clean remove Office 2007 of product key:

Close all Microsoft Office applications.
Run Register Editor by clicking on Start -> Run, and then type “regedit” in the Open box and press Enter key.
Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\OfRight click on Proof.XML file, select “Open With…” in the right click menu.
In the “Open With” window, select Notepad to be used to open the XML file. In Vista, if you can’t see the Notepad option, simply double click the “Other Programs” to unhide it.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Proof.XML to locate the following lines:

Change the AlwaysInsalled to neverInstalled so that the line looks like following:

Save the Proof.xml file. In Windows Vista, you may need to take ownership and grant full access permission to yourself before able to modify the file.

*** "Pure Glamour" - make a Hollywood-look photo ***

Pure Glamor" - make a Hollywood Look photo written by Lorelei © www.loreleiweb.com

This tutorial will show you how, in a few easy steps, to turn a simple photo into a "pure glamour", just as in most of the commercial shots. Of course, here we used a good photo already, but using this technique you can take the most ordinary picture and turn it into a professional shot.

This is what we will do:

Start of by taking a good quality photo of a face. Don't use blurred pictures, or ones that were taken from a big distance, else your result wont be sharp enough.

Multiple the amount of existing layers, just in case you do something wrong, u will have a few spare.

Using the Magic Wand tool, select the hair, using the "Add to selection mode"

Go to Image >> Adjustments >> Hue / Saturation and apply these settings, making the photo truly dark and brownish

Press Shft + Ctrl + I to invert the selection, and using the Eraser tool with soft edge, remove everything (only the deselected hair will remain)

Select the Burn Tool, 5 px size, with a soft edge, and enlarge your image on the screen (only zoom it for the view, leave the image size intact).

Make sure you work with the layer that is underneath the "hair" layer. Go over the edges of the eye... this will be easier to women, as they know exactly where to draw a line under and above the eye, but guys can also give this a try.. just try not to over do it and not to turn the picture of a woman into a vampire (unless this is your purpose, of course).

After finishing our work around the eyes, this is what we have accomplished...

Now, using the same technique, go with the Burn Tool over the lips line, as if you are applying a lipstick, "burning" the lips to a darker hue.

Create a new layer. Select a Brush tool with a sharp edge. Make sure you are using same round size as the eyes of the figure you are working on.

Apply two "stamps" over the eyes, as shown on the picture below. We used #0348f9 bright blue colour, rather unnatural hue for eyes. Remove the remains of the round brush from the eye lids.

Set the Blending mode of the eyes stamps to "Color"

Take any picture of flower, preferably on transparent background (clipart) or any easily removable background, and add to the picture, that

way, so that it will cover all the flaws of your recent manipulations. It can be bad edges of hair (as we have here) or anything else.

Add it in front and also as a background, in order to create the illusion of blooming garden all around the face, so that the flower won't look as if it doesn't belong.

Since now, all the layers of the picture are of a different hue, lightening and quality - Flatten the image.

Go to Filter >> Renders >> Lightening effect and apply this omni spot only over tthe face. Use light bieje colour for the light spot.

That it is, this is your glamorous result. Ain't the photo looks superb?

Preparations:

We will need close-up image of a nice face, prefably facing front. I’m using one of Jessica Alba wallpapers in this tutorial. You will also need the Reborn Brush created by Rubina119.

Click here to download the Reborn Brushes.

All rights of these resources belong to their respective owners.

Step 1 - Setting Up Background:

Create a document of size 750×550 pixels.

Fill the Background layer with #000000.

Place the face at the center of the document and use Soft Eraser tool to remove the other unwanted background.

Step 2a - Drawing Face Grids:

Create a new document of size 20×20 pixels and create a new layer. Use Pencil tool with size 1px and color #FFFFFF, draw left and bottom border to form a "L". Hide the Background layer and click Ctrl+A. Go to Edit > Define Pattern. Name this pattern as Grid.

Back to Jessica Alba’s document, create a new layer above the Face. Use the Paint Bucket tool and select to fill with Grid pattern

Step 2b - Drawing Face Grids:

Remove those grids that cross outside of the face area.

Go to Edit > Transform > Warp.

Distort the grids the way shown in the diagram.

Step 2c - Drawing Face Grids:

Set the opacity of the grid layer to 20%.

Right-click on the grid layer and choose Blending Options.

Activate Outer Glow and set its Blend Mode to Color Dodge, Opacity to 100%, Color to #FFFFFF, Spread to 0 and Size to 5px. Leave the rest of the settings as default.

Step 3a - Shattered Blocks:

Create a new layer and name it as Holes.

With Pen tool, path out several square holes according to the face grids.

Go to the Paths tab, Ctrl+left click on the work path layer created. Back to Layers tab, select the Holes layer and fill the selection with #000000.

Step 3b - Shattered Blocks:

Ctrl+left click on the Holes layer to load selection.

Select the Face layer and hit Ctrl+X to cut out the pixels. Then press Ctrl+V to paste and then name this new layer as Blocks.

Drag the blocks to the right with Move tool. Go to Edit > Free Transform to reduce the size slightly.

Step 3c - Shattered Blocks:

Duplicate the Blocks layer. Shift the lower Blocks layer 1 pixel to the left. Repeat this for 10 times and you will get some sort of extruding effect. Merge these 10 layers of duplicated Blocks and name this new merged layer as Sides. Right-click on the Sides layer and choose Blending Options. Activate Gradient Overlay and set Blend Mode to Normal, Opacity to 80%, Gradient from #000000 to #D58761 and Angle to 180. Leave the rest as default.

Step 3d - Shattered Blocks:

Activate Pattern Overlay and set Blend Mode to Multiply, Opacity to 100% Pattern to Metal Landscape. Leave the rest as default.

Right-click on Blocks layer and choose Blending Options. Activate Outer Glow and set Blend Mode to Color Dodge, Opacity to 75%, Color to #FFFFFF and Size to 10px. Leave the rest as default.

Step 3e - Shattered Blocks:

Repeat Step 3a to 3d for 2-3 more times to form more blocks floating towards the right.

Step 4 - Adding Depth to Holes:

Merge all the Holes layers. Right-click on the merged layer and choose Blending Options.

Activate Bevel and Emboss, set the Style to Inner Bevel, Depth to 72%, Size to 5px, Soften to 0px, Angle to 0, Altitude to 50, Highlight Mode to Screen, Highlight Color to #DCA57E, Highlight Opacity to 100%, Shadow Mode to Multiply, Shadow Color to #000000 and Shadow Opacity to 75%. Leave the rest of settings as default.

Step 5 - Adding Smoke:

Create a new layer below the Blocks and name it as Smoke. Set the foreground color to #FFFFFF. Load the Reborn brushes downloaded earlier and paint a few smoke of different sizes on this layer.

Right-click on the Smoke layer and choose Blending Options. Activate Outer Glow and set its Blend Mode to Linear Dodge (Add), Opacity to 75%, Color to #FFFFFF, Spread to 0px and Size to 5px. Leave the rest of settings as default.

Step 6 - Adding Dark Blocks:

Create a new layer and name it as Dark Blocks.

Using Pen tool, path out few more blocks along the face grid. Fill the shapes with #000000.

Set the Blend Mode of Dark Blocks layer to Soft Light.

Step 7 - Adding Light Blocks:

Create a new layer and name is as Light Blocks.

Similar to Step 6 but this time fill the shapes with #FFFFFF.

Set the Blend Mode of Light Blocks layer to Soft Light.

Step 8 - Adjusting Colors:

Now we need to smooth the face a little. Select the Face layer and go to Filter > Blur > Surface Blur. Set the Radius to 5px and Threshold to 15 levels.

Create a new Levels Adjustment Layer and key in 10, 1.25, 244.

Create a new layer and using a large Soft Brush tool with color #000000 and opacity 40%, paint some dark areas on the right to fade the blocks slightly.

Optional:

I merely added a barcode on her right arm to complete the design.

This is another long tutorial and I hope you will like this effect.

Manipulating a WW2 Fighter Aircraft Photoshop Tutorial

Step 1

Create a new document with dimensions; 550x400px then go here and copy this image then paste it into your document and scale and move it until you're happy with it then change the blend mode of this layer to multiply.

1[4]

Step 2

We are going to add some noise to the plane because at the moment it looks a bit too clean and unrealistic. Create a new layer above the plane then go Filter>Noise>Add Noise and use a value of 50% and check uniform and monochromatic.

2[4]

Step 3

Set this layer to 40% opacity and change the blend mode to soft light then Alt+click between the noise layer and the plane in the layers panel to add a clipping mask.

3[4]

Step 4

Since this is an image of a model plane then the propellers are obviously not moving so we're going to make them move in Photoshop; to do this we first have to make a copy of the plane then extract the propeller. First hold Alt and drag the plane layer above the noise layer, this will duplicate the layer but not break the clipping mask. Now hide the original plane layer then select the new plane layer and add a layer mask by pressing the layer mask button in the bottom of the layers panel. Now select the brush tool and choose a hard round brush, change the foreground color to black and start painting around the propeller; the parts that you paint on will be hidden. GO round the propeller and change the size of the brush regularly to suit the part you are working on. Keep at it until you have something like this and don't worry about being accurate here it wont really matter as long you have the basic shape.

4[4]

Step 5

Duplicate this layer then right click on the layer mask and select 'Apply Layer Mask'. Select the smudge tool and choose a brush with 0% hardness andd a size of about 60px then change the strength to 50%. None blade at a time, just drag from the blade anti-clockwise slightly a few times to give the smudged effect shown below.

5[4]

Step 6

Repeat step 5 but this time drag out a bit further then change the opacity of this layer to 50%. 6[4]

Step 7

We're going to make make it look even more like its spinning as well as adding some smoke at the same time. Create a new layer then select the brush tool and with a 0% hardness brush with a diameter of about 10px draw two rough circles one in black and one in the same color as the tip of the blades. 7[4]

Step 8

We now need to blur this so go Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and use a value of 20px and you should get something similar to this. 8[4]

Step 9

We'll take a look at where we've got to so far, we've added the noise first to make it look a bit dirtier then we isolated the propeller and and smudged it to look like its moving. Isolating parts of an image is a really important technique to start using as you'll often need to edit parts of a stock image and it's often much easier to isolate the parts whether you want to blur the part, alter some colors or change the shape and size of it. Lastly we just used a quick and simple way to add some more motion by quickly drawing a circle then heavily blurring it. Now just turn the visibility of the original plane back on and you should have something looking like this.

9[4]

Step 10

In the next few steps we will be adding some burn marks, flame and smoke so we need a really good stock image to use for this, The one I use all the time for this kind of thing can be found here. I've shown what it looks like below and you'll notice that it's perfect for this kind of thing; it has flames, burn marks, smoke and even bits of debris. First paste this image into your document and scale it down to roughly your document size.

10[4]

Step 11

Basically now we're going to copy part of this image onto the side of the plane, the easiest way to do this is to first duplicate the layer with the van in it then hide the original van layer. Now either use the eraser tool or the lasso tool to remove all except the the front corner of the van with burn marks, just do this roughly then rotate and scale this layer and place it over the plane like so, I used a soft eraser brush just to remove the hard edges.

11[4]

Step 12

Now click the layer mask button in the layers panel to add a mask to this layer. Now select the brush tool and choose a soft round brush then change the foreground color to black then in the main toolbar change the opacity to 20%. We want to get rid of most of the flames here so do this by brushing over them (make sure you are working on the mask not the layer). As well as brushing over the flames we also want to hide some parts that are a bit too harsh or generally don't look right.

12[4]

Step 13

You'll have noticed that some parts of this layer run over the wing or outside the plane, to fix this you have to change the brush to about 85% hardness and an opacity of 100% then brush over the wings and around the plane. Use the image below for reference.

13[4]

Step 14

We're going to add in some smoke now so create a new layer then select the brush tool and choose a 50px round brush with 0% hardness and an opacity of 10%. With the foreground color set to black, brush some smoke onto this layer; the best way to do this is to click continually rather than dragging. Try and get something that resembles the image below.

14[4]

Step 15

Now we're going to make it look like the tail is burning and we are going to do this in the same way as we did to put the burn marks on the plane. First duplicate the van layer again and drag the duplicated layer to the top of the layer stack then get rid of the parts you don't want. Then place this layer over the wing, it doesn't matter what part of the image you use as long is it looks like burning metal.

15[4]

Step 16

Now add a layer mask then with a hard black brush at full opacity, hide the parts that go outside the wing so this layer should now be the same shape as the wing. Next change the blend mode to hard light, you can experiment with some other blend modes if you want here.

16[4]

Step 17

Now to actually add the flame, again we do this in the same way so duplicate the van layer, drag it to the top of the layer stack then find a good flame (I liked the one just above the tire) then hide some of the other parts and soften the edges. Now rotate and scale it to get the flame in the right position like so.

17[4]

Step 18

Add a layer mask to this layer then with a soft brush at varying opacities hide all the parts except the flame and also brush away parts of the flame to shape it slightly. Lastly, with a hard round brush at full opacity, brush over the wing so the flame doesn't look like it comes in front of the wing. Make sure the edges of the flames aren't too hard or it will look unrealistic.

18[4]

Step 19

I wanted add a flame coming from the propeller, this had to be less visible as I figured the propeller would probably dissipate the flame. You should be able to work out how to do this but I'll go over how I did it. First duplicate the flame layer then drag it above the propeller then go Edit>Transform>Warp and shape the flame a bit like so. Note that I've hidden the back flame in the images below just so you can see this flame more clearly.

19[4]

Step 20

Add a layer mask and soften this flame a lot by brushing over it with a soft black brush at a medium opacity until you get something similar to the image below.

20[4]

Step 21

That's as far as I'm going to take you but there's a lot further you can go, a few ideas to try would be to make it look like one of the blades are on fire or to add some falling debris or even break one of the wings.

21[4]

Step 22

The last thing I did was to add a simple background this can be any image of a sky, however the image has to be fairly light because we have the plane layer set at overlay, this was so we didn't need to remove the white background from it but it does limit us to placing the plane over a light background. If you want to use this on a darker background then you would have to extract the plane which isn't all that hard as it is on a white background anyway. Hopefully you learned some skills that you can transfer to other projects and have fun setting things on fire and generally destroying stuff.
